Damián Jajarabilla subió al podio una vez más en Brasil al obtener su segunda medalla de plata en el Campeonato Sudamericano de tiro con arco. En la modalidad de recurvo individual caballeros, Jajarabilla se destacó a lo largo del torneo hasta llegar a la final, donde enfrentó al colombiano Jorge Enriquez, cayendo por un ajustado marcador de 7-3.
Junto a su compañera Alma Pueyo López lograron la medalla de plata en la prueba de arco recurvo por equipos mixto.
En otros resultados destacados, Jajarabilla registró un nuevo récord nacional en la qualy y avanzó a la final tras vencer a destacados competidores en los playoffs. Por su parte, Alma Pueyo López mostró su calidad en la competición, mientras que Guillermina González y Matías Almirón también tuvieron buenas actuaciones.
Ahora, tanto Alma Pueyo López como Damián Jajarabilla se preparan para enfrentar nuevos desafíos en Medellín, Colombia, donde participarán en el Clasificatorio Olímpico Continental Americano 2024 y el Campeonato Panamericano 2024.
