Con vistas al cierre de la Pro League, Las Leonas jugaron dos amistosos ante Uruguay
Luego de una gira positiva por Europa, y en la previa de lo que será el cierre de la Pro League, Las Leonas disputaron en Salta dos amistosos ante Uruguay. En ambos casos, fue triunfo contundente para el combinado albiceleste.
El primero de los cruces se jugó el martes, apenas 3 días después de terminar el Argentino de Selecciones en Tucumán, torneo que disputaron gran parte de las convocadas. El cotejo, disputado en el club Popeye, terminó con goleada 4-0 para las dirigidas por Fernando Ferrara. Guadalupe Adorno (x2), Victoria Miranda y Lucía Sanguinetti anotaron los goles.
Al día siguiente, el miércoles, se jugó el segundo encuentro. Y otra vez fue triunfo claro de las argentinas, esta vez por 3-0. Quienes se anotaron en el marcador fueron Delfina Thome, Alina Piccardo y Sofía Cairó.
De esta forma, Las Leonas, que no contaron con las figuras que actúan en el hockey europeo, se siguen poniendo a punto para el cierre de la Pro League, donde defienden el título. El 9 y el 12 de junio, el seleccionado nacional enfrentará a China, en Países Bajos. Los últimos dos partidos en el certamen serán el 17 y el 20 del mismo mes, en Bélgica, y ante Nueva Zelanda.
