París 2024 es una pronta realidad, y a poco más de un año y medio de su inicio, el país anfitrión recomendó que los organizadores de los Juegos Olímpicos deberán ultimar sus planes de seguridad. También advirtieron de que la ceremonia de apertura en el río Sena planteaba un reto importante y probablemente necesitará apoyo policial.
En un informe presentado al Parlamento francés, el Tribunal de Cuentas hizo 15 recomendaciones al Comité Organizador, destacando la preocupación por la dependencia de operadores de seguridad privados para proteger los Juegos y los riesgos sobre las conexiones de transporte.
Pierre Moscovici, primer presidente del Tribunal de Cuentas, calificó la seguridad de París 2024 como un “reto de primer orden”, y afirmó que es necesario incorporar fuerzas de seguridad internas como la policía y el Ejército.
“Pedimos que el plan global de seguridad se finalice en el primer trimestre de 2023 para poder planificar el refuerzo de las fuerzas de seguridad internas. También recomendamos que el plan de transporte se finalice sitio por sitio“, dijo Moscovici, exministro francés de Finanzas y excomisario europeo de Asuntos Económicos y Financieros.
“Es factible, pero lo que el Tribunal quiere decir es que ya es hora de entrar en la fase operativa. No es demasiado tarde, pero es ajustado”, agregó. Los Juegos Olímpicos de 2024 se celebrarán del 26 de julio al 11 de agosto y los Paralímpicos del 28 de agosto al 8 de septiembre.
Los organizadores esperan que al menos 600.000 personas asistan a la ceremonia de apertura de los Juegos Olímpicos en el Río Sena, donde los y las deportisatas y las delegaciones navegarán para dar el inicio de los Juegos.
Unas 160 embarcaciones zarparán el 26 de julio del Puente de Austerlitz para realizar un recorrido de seis kilómetros hasta el Puente de Jena.
