Los organizadores de los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024 distribuirán 300,000 condones en la Villa Olímpica, retomando la tradición tras la pausa por la pandemia en Tokio 2020. El reparto incluirá preservativos masculinos y femeninos, así como otros elementos para promover la salud sexual entre los atletas.
La organización de los Juegos de París 2024 repartirá 300,000 preservativos en la villa olímpica. Tras las restricciones por la pandemia de Tokio 2020, vuelve el reparto de condones, que duplicará los entregados en Londres 2012 pero estará lejos del récord de Río 2016, de 450,000.
En total, serán casi 200,000 preservativos masculinos, y otros 20,000 femeninos, los que se distribuirán para los atletas. Los organizadores también hicieron un pedido de 10,000 condones sin látex y 20,000 barreras bucales, que se usan para el sexo oral.
“Independientemente de los Juegos Olímpicos, estamos viendo un aumento en la prevalencia de infecciones de transmisión sexual entre la población“, indicó Laurent Dalard, encargado de la coordinación de los primeros auxilios y de los riesgos para la salud dentro del comité organizador.
También se distribuirán folletos y se colocarán carteles en la clínica de la villa olímpica, situada en la localidad de Saint-Denis, cerca de París, donde podrán realizarse pruebas de detección del VIH.
