La superioridad de Argentina en el pádel en Asunción 2022 fue total. En el último día de competencia, la delegación nacional se quedó con dos nuevos oros: producto de los conseguidos en el doble femenino y masculino. De esta forma, Renato Dal Bianco, junto a Juan Ignacio De Pascual, y Cecilia Lorena Retier, con Daiara Agustina Valenzuela, se subieron a lo más alto del podio.
En el primer turno, el binomio nacional femenino se midió en la final ante su par chileno, compuesto por Gabriela Roux Vidal y Giannina Minieri Álvarez. No obstante, Valenzuela y Retier se impusieron sin mayores complicaciones en sets corrido ante las trasandinas: fue triunfo por 6-4 y 6-3. Además, el podio lo completó la pareja brasileña De Barros/Bianchi.
Por su parte, en el último turno, el binomio nacional compuesto por Dal Bianco y De Pascual también supo sacar adelante la final sin mayores complicaciones, ante el dúo brasileño integrado por Julio César Julianotti y Lucas Silveira Da Cunha. En sets corridos, 6-2 y 6-4, los argentinos consiguieron el segundo oro para Argentina en esta disciplina, aunque no sumará en el medallero. El podio fue completado por la pareja local, Abud y Castañeyra.
