El pasado miércoles se disputó, el primer clasificatorio para los juegos panamericanos de squash el cual contó con 5 jugadores.
Argentina ya tiene a sus cuatro representantes masculinos para los Juegos Panamericanos de squash, dos de ellos salieron del selectivo, y se sumarán a Leandro Romiglio y Jeremías Azaña, ya clasificados por ranking.
Los 5 jugadores que disputaron el clasificatorio fueron: Federico Cioffi, Juan Segundo Barreyro, Francisco Obregón, Rodrigo Obregón y Miguel Pujol; estos últimos dos los ganadores de las últimas plazas para el torneo continental.
El Panamericano de Squash se disputará en Cartagena, Colombia del 4 al 10 de junio y entregará plazas para los Juegos Panamericanos Santiago 2023. Aunque para la selección argentina solo le servirá para obtener sembrado, ya que por obtención de medallas el pasado año en los Juegos Suramericanos, el equipo masculino ya está automáticamente clasificado para la cita multideportiva de este año.
