Franco Serrano y Alí Villamayor se destacaron al ocupar el 7° lugar en la competencia de relevos con un total de 1139 puntos
En el marco del Campeonato Mundial UIPM 2024, celebrado en Zhengzhou, China. Los pentatletas argentinos Franco Serrano y Sergio Alí Villamayor alcanzaron el séptimo lugar con un total de 1139, estuvieron a 88 puntos del podio. El resultado fue la sumatoria de 200 en esgrima, 279 en equitación, 316 en natación y 544 en láser run.
Resultados Individuales
Franco Serrano, el único clasificado a los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024 hasta el momento, finalizó 65° en la general con 1122 puntos acumulados. Estos fueron repartidos por 208 en esgrima, 304 en natación y 610 en láser run
Alí Villamayor culminó en el puesto 73° con un total de 1092, otorgados de la siguiente manera, 208 en esgrima, 280 en natación y 604 en láser run.
De esta manera terminó el Mundial para los argentinos, esta fue la última competencia previa a París 2024 donde estará Franco Serrano quien obtuvo su plaza en Santiago 2023. En tanto, Villamayor deberá esperar al cierre del ranking el 19 de junio, aunque se encuentra en el puesto 84°.
Los pentatletas argentinos seguirán su preparación con la mirada puesta en París 2024, donde buscarán dejar en alto el nombre del país en la máxima cita del deporte mundial.
