La rosarina se consagró campeona este viernes en el dobles del Women´s Circuit 25K de Lubbock junto a la británica Naomi Broady . La ex número uno del país contó con la colaboración como entrenadora de María Irigoyen.
Nadia Podoroska obtuvo este viernes el título de dobles en el Women´s Circuit 25K de Lubbock (Estados Unidos) en pareja con la británica Naomi Broady. Vencieron en la final a la dupla conformada por la montenegrina Vladica Babic y la local Hayley Carter con parciales de 3-6, 6-2 y 10-8.
En el primer set las rivales estuvieron más sólidas con el servicio y quebraron en el cuarto game para ponerse 3-1 y luego mantener las ventajas. No obstante, en el segundo parcial llegó la reacción de la dupla argentina-británica con un rápido 3-0. Luego vino otro break para el 6-2 y el acceso al super tiebreak.
Allí la dupla de Podoroska ganó todos los puntos que jugó con su primer saque y se impuso en un parejo 10-8. Este es el segundo título de dobles para la rosarina de 21 años en la temporada ya que en 2018 había obtenido el WC 60K de Hungría junto a la local Reka Luca Jani. Además es el octavo trofeo en esta modalidad de su carrera contando el WTA de Bogotá de 2017.
La rosarina continúa reencontrando buenas sensaciones y en esta gira por Estados Unidos cuenta con la colaboración como entrenadora de María Irigoyen, experimentada jugadora. La próxima escala será en el WC 60K de Templeton, también en tierras estadounidenses.
